When relationships breakdown or when things are just going wrong.

There appears to be support available for mothers, but what about dads?

Fathers and Children Engage  has been asked that question on numerous occasions by many fathers in need of support or looking for answers to help them sense of the situation. Potentially this can leave Fathers, step fathers and male carers  feeling isolated, overun with emotion and grieving if a relationship is ending. During this time it`s easy to  think with your heart rather than your  head!  It is during these difficult times when faced with the  reality of the situation that  things can and often  do go wrong, especially when relationships are ending.

Your  behaviour  and the things you say or do during this time could impact upon your children, leading to intervention from agencies such as nursery/school or even college and ultimately the Police or Social Services, if this happens it could have a negative impact upon your relationship with your children.

If you care about your children then we can support you, please ask sooner rather than later for help and advice or come along to the montly Forum.

Fathers And Children Engage  (FACE)is the only community based organisation in West Lancashire that supports the Father and Child Relationship, We can support you in your attempts to re- establish and maintain contact with your children, offering support with parenting skills including  emotional, behavioural  and practical support and advice to guide you through the difficult times.

The service covers Skelmersdale, Ormskirk and Wigan. Please ask if you live outside of these areas.
