The history behind Fathers And Children Engage .

Father and Child was originally a 5 week parenting course for fathers in the Skelmersdale area during 2005, changing later that year to FACE (Fathers and children engage). During 2006/07 and 2008 we started to offer weekend activities, parenting courses and regular dad only sessions to fathers, acheiving this through working in partnership with organisations such as The Engine rooms, Lancashire Adult Learning, Skelmersdale food initiative and various local children centre`s

With the loss of several key members during 2010, FACE drifted for a while struggling to connect with local Dads and losing the impetus and success enjoyed in previous years, however the group has now turned a corner with some great new services and activities planned.
