Sometimes we all need someone to talk with, and as you know the ethos of Father and Child is to support fathers in maintaining and improving the relationship with their children, we feel children should have the right to a relationship with their dad where this is appropriate and where there is no risk to the child.

There is some on this issue  http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-16865916 please check this out at the BBC; It is a step in the right direction however it does not uphold the UN convention setting out the childs rights to maintain relationships.

Most certainly a positive step forward, but is it enough, you decide?

The group continues to hold the Fathers Forum on the first Thursday of every month at Oak House in Tanhouse from 7.30pm until 9pm; why not pop along and catch up with the rest of the Dads, enjoy a coffee and a chinwag, you never know you might like it and want to come again.

We all know how tight the family finances are at the moment, the weekly shop seems to be more expensive every week, and if you smoke or enjoy a drink you will need to take out a mortgage!

Here at FACE we are always trying to support Dads without imposing a charge  however like everywhere we too are feeling the pinch and need your help, If you are in a position to make a donation  monthly or just a one off, please get in touch.

FACE is an independent not for profit community group that is run by dads for dads.
